Irene Bracelet

The tennis bracelet got its name from an iconic moment during a tennis match. During a 1978 US Open tennis tournament, the American player Chris Evert stopped in the middle of a match as her diamond line bracelet had fallen off during play. She then referred to the piece as her tennis bracelet in a post-match interview. Afterward, the line bracelet was called the tennis bracelet worldwide.
